July 16th, Muscatine County Fair Race
We were at the Muscatine County Fair Race on Wednesday, July 16th. Felt great to be in our former hometown of West Liberty, Iowa. There are many memories of my kids going to that track. The evening started with Trey being sick. Trey didn't even drive to the track. I was worried how the night would go with him not feeling well. Trey started 3rd in his heat and ended up 5th. He looked fast but it was clear the car was pushing. Trey came in the pits, made some adjustments and was ready to start the feature. For the feature, he started 6th. The car was hooked up and definitely had some speed. Trey worked his way up to 3rd and then a caution happened. During the restart, Trey pulled up alongside the leader but was unable to complete the pass, giving Tim Plummer the victory and the 7T a second place finish. It wasn't a win but it sure felt like it for our team. It makes you feel good to race against the best and be able to compete. Congrats to Tim Plummer for the win!
